Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Which spring do I need?
Remove one spring and measure it from hook to hook. It will have stretched slightly with use, so round down to the nearest standard size (5.5, 7, 8.35, 8.5, 8.57 and 9.25 inch). Choose this spring if your measurement rounds down to 6 inch (152mm). If you are unsure, contact our team with your trampoline model or measurements and we will confirm it before you order.
How do I fit replacement springs?
Adult installation is required. Wear protective gloves, as the hooks are sharp, and use a spring tool. Hook the tool onto the spring hook in the frame, then pull up and towards you to release the old spring. Fit the new spring with the tool, push down on the spring body until it slots into the frame, then release the tool. If you are fitting a full set, work in opposite pairs, like the points of a compass, so the tension stays even. See our installation guides.
Do trampoline springs lose strength over time?
Yes, trampoline springs naturally lose elasticity due to constant stretching and outdoor exposure. Replacing them restores bounce and safety.
How do I know trampoline springs need replacing?
Signs include reduced bounce, an uneven jumping surface, visible stretching, or rust on the springs.
How many springs should I replace at once?
If several springs show similar wear, replace them together so the tension stays even across the bed.
Are these springs suitable for outdoor trampolines in UK weather?
The springs are galvanised steel, which helps protect against rust outdoors.
