FAQs

Trampolines Online frequently asked questions

Ordering, Delivery and Returns

Can I pay using AMEX?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express. However, we can accept payment from all other major credit/debit cards, as well as PayPal and in some cases, a BACS payment.

How quickly can I receive my order once I’ve placed it?

Spare parts & accessories: Orders placed before 12pm, Monday to Thursday, are despatched the same day on a next-business-day service, with typical delivery in 1-3 working days.

Trampolines: Orders are despatched the next working day via 3rd party courier, with typical delivery in 3-5 working days.

Orders placed on Fridays or over the weekend are processed on the next business day, with despatch and delivery following the timescales above.

Please note:

  • This schedule does not apply on Bank Holidays.
  • It does not apply to orders delivered outside UK Mainland.
  • Deliveries are carried out on our behalf by a third-party carrier. While we make every effort to ensure deliveries arrive on the specified day, we cannot guarantee this and are unable to accept claims for compensation in the event of a delivery failure. In these rare cases, we will do everything we can to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Can I nominate a specific date for delivery?

If you would like your order delivered on a specified day, this is something we can arrange with you. We recommend that you call our office to place your order and organise this with one of our advisors over the phone. If you are ordering with a specific occasion in mind (e.g. birthday, Christmas), please place your order with plenty of time to spare.

Please note: deliveries are made on our behalf by a third-party carrier and, whilst we make every effort to ensure that deliveries are made on a specified day, we cannot guarantee this and will not enter into claims for compensation should a delivery failure occur. In these rare circumstances, we will of course make every effort to rectify the problem with the utmost urgency.

How many boxes will my trampoline come in?

It can vary depending on the brand, size and model of trampoline you have purchased, from around three boxes up to six for larger sizes. All trampolines arrive flat-packed. If you would like specific box measurements for the trampoline you have ordered, please get in touch with our team.

Will the delivery driver leave the goods if I am not home?

If you know you won’t be at home to receive your order, our couriers advise that you can leave a signed note for the driver identifying a safe place for the goods to be left. This could be in the porch or with a neighbour, for example. Please ensure the note is left in a visible place and the designated safe place is easily accessible; some goods can be very heavy and it will require the driver to lift and carry them.

What happens if the item is damaged upon delivery?

In the event of your order being delivered in an unsatisfactory manner, we kindly ask that you ensure the goods are signed for as damaged. If you do not wish to sign for the goods as a result of any damage, you do have the right to refuse delivery. In this instance, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can have replacement goods sent out to you as a matter of urgency.

How can I return my order?

Providing the items have not been used and are in new condition, you can return them to us for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. If the goods are unused but have been opened, the first thing you’ll need to do is repackage them so they are secure. To return to us using a courier, you will need to know the weight and dimensions of the package – please contact us to find these out if you cannot do this at home. Please then return the goods to the address found on your delivery note:

  • Jet Sports Ltd, Unit 5 Colliton Barton, Broadhembury, Devon, EX14 3LJ, 01884 675801, sales@jetsports.co.uk
  • If you require a refund for the goods, this will be issued within 14 days from receipt of the goods. However, if you wish to swap for the correct goods, we can credit your account with the amount already paid and you can pay any difference over the phone using a credit/debit card.
  • We kindly ask that you include a note with your return or call us to let us know why you no longer require the goods.

Please note that the cost of returning the goods shall be borne by you.

Will it cost me to return an item ordered in error?

Providing the item has not been used and is in its original condition, you can return any goods for a full refund. Please be advised that the cost of returning the goods shall be borne by you. Jet Sports Ltd accept no responsibility for any items purchased in error. A refund will be issued within 14 days from receipt of the goods.

I bought my trampoline before Trampolines Online was taken over – can you help?

Trampolines Online is now run by Jet Sports Ltd, a separate entity from the previous business. We do not have access to previous customer accounts, orders, or warranty records. If you need help with an order placed before the takeover, please contact the manufacturer of your trampoline directly. If you’re not sure who that is, get in touch and we’ll do what we can to point you in the right direction.

Assembly

How many people will I need to help assemble?

We recommend that at least two people are present when assembling a trampoline. The framework can be quite challenging to slot together alone, so it is wise to have an additional pair of hands present where possible.

How long does it take to assemble?

The length of time needed to assemble your trampoline will depend on the model you have bought and how much assistance you have. We strongly recommend that a minimum of two people assemble a trampoline, as you will be required to support the framework whilst slotting it together. Detailed instructions are supplied with every trampoline, and we’d expect assembly to take between one and two hours.

Does the trampoline need to be on a level surface, or can I position it on a slope?

Your trampoline must be positioned on level ground and preferably on a grass surface. From a health and safety perspective, this is very important, as a slope can disrupt the balance of the bouncer whilst also putting unnecessary strain on the joints of the frame. Over time, this could become dangerous and lead to structural issues. If your garden is on a slope, we recommend taking precautions to ensure the trampoline can be positioned on a level surface – it may be worth seeking advice from a gardener or builder.

Can I put my trampoline on a patio, concrete or tarmac surface?

We strongly recommend that all trampolines are positioned on a lawn/grass surface. However, we understand that this is not always possible. If positioning your trampoline on a patio, concrete or tarmac surface, we strongly suggest investing in rubber matting (or similar) to place underneath each trampoline leg base. This prevents friction between the steel frame and the floor when the trampoline is in use. Friction between the frame and a harsh surface can cause deterioration of the frame; trampolines positioned on such surfaces without protection may not be covered under warranty – check the terms for your specific model.

How much space should I allow around the trampoline?

We strongly recommend that all trampolines without a safety enclosure have a minimum of two metres of unobstructed space surrounding them. If your trampoline does have a safety enclosure, we still suggest keeping the recommended clearance, though this is at your discretion.

Do I need a tie-down ground anchor kit?

Although not essential, we highly recommend the use of one of these, particularly if you live in a hilly/mountainous area, near the coast, or in an exposed area with high winds. A tie-down ground anchor kit helps secure the trampoline to the ground, keeping it stable during bad weather and giving the owner peace of mind. We have heard of cases of trampolines taking off during periods of torrential rain and high winds, and a tie-down kit can significantly reduce these risks.

Safety and Use

How many people can use a trampoline at one time?

We recommend that only a single bouncer uses the trampoline at any given time. However, we obviously cannot monitor this, so it is down to the user’s discretion. Please bear our recommendations in mind, as these are in place for health and safety reasons. For more information, please visit RoSPA’s trampoline safety advice (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents).

What would happen if we exceeded the weight restrictions?

It is vital that you do not exceed the maximum user-weight at any point whilst the trampoline is in use. This limit is in place for health and safety reasons. If exceeded, unnecessary stress can be placed on the frame and frame parts, which can weaken the trampoline and could result in structural failure and injury. Exceeding the user-weight can also stretch the springs, meaning the trampoline would lose performance. These outcomes are unlikely to be covered by your guarantee, and Jet Sports Ltd would not be held liable.

Do children always need to be supervised if I have a safety enclosure?

Absolutely. We recommend that all users – both adults and children – are supervised at all times, no matter their age or ability. Unfortunately, accidents can occur, and it is important that someone is on hand to help if something happens.

Will bouncers be able to injure themselves on the springs or frame?

If your trampoline has a safety net enclosure, this is unlikely. Most safety net enclosures are designed to attach to the trampoline on the inside of the springs and frame, keeping users safely within the jumping zone, and springs/framework are usually protected by padded covers. Exact design varies by brand and model, so check your product listing for specifics if you’d like more detail before buying.

Are trampolines just for children, or can teenagers and adults join in too?

Before allowing older children and adults onto your trampoline, it is vital that you check its maximum user-weight. Exceeding the weight can put the framework under increased strain, which can weaken it and become dangerous over time. If your trampoline has a high maximum user-weight, there is absolutely no reason why teenagers and adults can’t join in too! Please ensure you stick to one bouncer at a time, though – injuries can be caused by collisions whilst bouncing.

Should my trampoline have a ladder?

Many trampolines are supplied with a ladder as standard for safe and easy access on and off the trampoline. If yours doesn’t have one, replacement and add-on ladders may be available in our accessories range. If you’re not sure which one you need, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise.

Is it essential to have a safety net on my trampoline?

No, it is not essential. However, many of the trampolines we sell already come with a safety enclosure included, as these models are specifically designed with the enclosure forming an integral support mechanism for the framework.

Safety enclosures are a great feature if the trampoline is being used by young children and/or inexperienced bouncers, and give parents peace of mind. Our range also includes trampolines without a safety enclosure, suited to more experienced bouncers who don’t require netting, or those looking to sink their trampoline into the ground.

Please note that, in most cases, rectangular trampolines are not compatible with a safety enclosure unless specifically designed to feature one. Traditional rectangular trampolines use two U-shaped leg bases positioned at an incline at each end of the frame – a design that allows for the best performance, but makes it impossible to fit a safety enclosure as an add-on. We believe a safety enclosure on a rectangular performance trampoline can actually be more dangerous, due to the powerful bounce the user can generate: the upright poles and netting could become hazardous if the user loses control in the air at height. If you have any safety concerns about your rectangular trampoline, please contact us to learn more about sinking it into the ground instead.

Maintaining your trampoline: useful things to know

How do I measure my trampoline?

Take your measurements from outer-frame to outer-frame. Please ensure you do not measure just the jump mat/bed.

How do I know what size replacement springs/bed I need?

  • To find your spring size, first remove a spring from the bed and frame – it’s important to do this so the measurement is taken when the spring is not under tension. Measure end to end, including the hooks.
  • To find out which replacement bed you need, measure your trampoline frame and count the total number of springs. This, along with the spring configuration, will allow us to identify the correct replacement parts.

How do I know what model of trampoline I have?

We’ll need three measurements from you:

  1. The overall diameter of your trampoline frame (measured outer-frame to outer-frame, including frame pads and springs);
  2. The length of one trampoline spring (removed from the trampoline first so it’s not under tension, measured end to end including the hooks);
  3. The total number of springs around the frame.

Please then contact us with this information – a few photos of your trampoline will also help us identify the model and brand you have.

Can I buy spare parts and accessories for my trampoline?

Yes. We offer an extensive range of spare parts and accessories covering the brands we sell, including weather covers, tie-down kits, grip socks, replacement beds, replacement frame pads, replacement springs, and much more. For full details, see our accessories section.

What information do I need before I contact you about my trampoline?

There are three key pieces of information we’ll need to identify your model:

  1. The overall diameter of your trampoline frame (outer-frame to outer-frame, including frame pads and springs);
  2. The length of one trampoline spring (removed from the trampoline first so it’s not under tension, measured end to end including the hooks);
  3. The total number of springs around the frame.

This will allow us to identify your trampoline and assist with your enquiry – please get in touch. We may also ask for images of your trampoline, so please have some ready if you can.

Is it possible to purchase replacement framework or parts of the framework?

In most cases, no. Trampoline models are frequently modified, enhanced or discontinued over the years, so we cannot guarantee compatibility of spare frame parts across brands and generations. Taking your trampoline apart can also affect the structural integrity of the frame. Where the framework has become damaged, we’d recommend replacing the trampoline in its entirety for safety reasons. Please contact us for further information.

Can I get an enclosure for my trampoline?

If you have a round trampoline, finding a compatible enclosure should be no problem. Rectangular trampolines are generally not compatible with enclosures due to their traditional frame design, though some models are specifically designed to be enclosure-compatible – check the individual product listing, or contact us and we can advise for your specific model. You can browse our rectangular trampolines range here.

Do I need to put my trampoline away in the winter months?

No – trampolines are designed for outdoor use year-round. However, we do recommend putting soft parts (frame pads, pole foam covers, bungees, toggle loops, enclosure net) into storage over winter where possible, to help prolong their life against ice, snow and torrential rain. Most frames are treated to resist rust and weather, though the exact treatment varies by brand and model – check your product’s specification if you’d like more detail.

What should I do to prolong the life of my trampoline?

During winter, when the trampoline is used least, we suggest storing the soft parts to help prolong their life. This isn’t essential, as trampolines are designed to live outdoors all year round, but it can help prevent damage from ice, snow and torrential rain.

A weather cover is also a great addition, helping protect your trampoline from leaves, rain, salt and harmful UV rays – which can cause discolouration over time.

Do I need a weather cover for my trampoline?

Weather covers help prolong the life of your trampoline by protecting it from harsh weather and environmental debris such as leaves, rain and salt (for coastal locations), as well as the harmful effects of UV radiation, which can cause discolouration of the frame pads over time. See our accessories section for more details.

Warranty

Do the trampolines you sell come with a guarantee?

Yes, all trampolines we sell come with a manufacturer guarantee. Terms and length vary by brand and model, typically ranging from around 1 to 10 years. Check the specific product listing for full details, or get in touch if you’re not sure what applies to your trampoline.

How long should my trampoline last?

Your trampoline should provide you and your family with plenty of enjoyment for years to come. Lifespan depends on several factors, including environment and frequency/nature of use, so it’s not possible to put a firm date on it. A few recommendations to help prolong the life of your trampoline:

  1. Purchase a weather cover;
  2. During the harsh winter months, remove all soft parts (frame pads, enclosure net, enclosure pole foam covers, bungee loops) and store them indoors;
  3. Conduct frequent checks to ensure the trampoline remains in full working order, and rectify any damage immediately;
  4. If you live in a particularly windy area (coastal, mountainous or open space), purchase a tie-down kit;
  5. Always adhere to the maximum user-weight limit – these restrictions are in place for health and safety reasons.

What’s included in my guarantee?

  • Guarantee cover varies by brand, but typically the trampoline frame, bed and springs are covered for a number of years against structural failures resulting from rust or rot. In these rare circumstances, we will do our utmost to resolve any issues as soon as possible.
  • Soft parts are usually covered by a shorter warranty, often around 12 months – ‘soft parts’ refers to any material-based items, such as frame pads or an enclosure net. Check your specific product listing for exact terms.

Is there anything my guarantee doesn’t cover?

Common exclusions across most brands include:

  • Frame buckling and surface rust
  • Rips, cuts, burn holes and pulled threads on the jumping bed (mat)
  • Set, extended or over-stretched springs; surface rust; broken springs (other than those caused by rust failure)
  • Toggle loops or ties
  • Discolouration to frame pads
  • Any damage caused by storms, high winds or bad weather
  • Bed or spring failure due to incorrect spring or triangle alignment

Always check the specific terms for your model, as exclusions can vary slightly by brand.

Commercial guarantees

Please note the following for any trampolines used in a commercial environment:

  • Jet Sports Limited accepts no responsibility for the manner in which a trampoline is constructed, operated or used in any commercial environment.
  • It is the responsibility of the owner operating the trampoline(s) to conduct their own risk assessments, operate the trampolines as safely as possible, and address any risks identified.
  • Jet Sports Limited advises using a safety enclosure on all commercial trampolines wherever possible.
  • Using your trampoline on concrete ground without rubber feet or mats will invalidate any guarantee.
  • An enclosure net exists as a last resort for a single bouncer’s safety – it must not be jumped into or otherwise misused, as doing so invalidates the net’s guarantee.
  • Jet Sports reserves the right to revoke any guarantee where there is evidence of misuse.

Choosing the right trampoline: useful information

How do I know which trampoline is the right one for me?

Buying a trampoline is more of an investment than a one-off purchase. If you choose wisely, it should provide plenty of enjoyment for years to come. Key points to consider before purchasing:

  • How much space do you have in your garden? We stock trampolines in a range of shapes and sizes – round, oval and rectangular, from around 8ft up to 15ft – so there’s likely something suitable for almost any garden. Get in touch if you’d like recommendations based on your space.
  • Who will be using it – now, and in years to come? Children grow up quickly, so it’s worth choosing a trampoline that will still suit your family in five to ten years’ time.
  • Check the maximum user-weight. Some trampoline frames are thicker than others, affecting the weight limit. Consider who will be using it – just younger children, or older children and adults too – and how many people in total, to help choose the right model.
  • Consider the user’s requirements. Trampolining can be a recreational activity or a competitive sport, so it’s worth choosing a trampoline suited to how it will actually be used. Get in touch if you have specific requirements.
  • Any specialist requirements? This includes health-related or injury-related needs, such as use for Rebound Therapy. We stock trampolines suitable for specialist requirements – contact us for more information.

Things to consider if purchasing overseas

Can you ship overseas?

Yes, we can ship to almost anywhere in the world. If you’re looking to purchase a trampoline abroad, or need spare parts overseas, please get in touch by email or telephone and we’ll be happy to help.

How do I find out how much delivery will cost for my overseas order?

To get a delivery quote, you’ll first need to know exactly what you want to order and where it’s going. Get in touch with our office and a member of the team will retrieve a shipping quote for you within 48 hours.

How do I place my order if I want it delivered overseas/abroad?

Contact us by phone or email to place an overseas order. Please provide a full delivery address so we can provide a shipping quote (this can take up to 48 hours). Once we’ve confirmed stock and retrieved the quote, our sales team will send you a proforma invoice to check you’re happy with the details. Once payment is received, your goods will be despatched, and a tracking number provided where possible.

How quickly can I receive an overseas order?

This depends on where in the world the goods are being sent. All deliveries are made on our behalf by a third-party carrier, and whilst we make every effort to ensure deliveries are made as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee a specific day and will not enter into claims for compensation should a delivery failure occur. In these rare circumstances, we will of course make every effort to rectify the problem with the utmost urgency.
