Firstly, because Kettler have our own tube making factory, they can control the quality from start to finish. When the tube is formed it is then bathed twice in cleaning fluid to remove any dirt and grease that may have accumulated. Following the second cleaning process the tube is given a coating of iron phosphate on the outside and, more importantly, on the inside surfaces. It is this special coating that provides the protection against rust. Finally, a weatherproof polyester coating is applied to the outer surface.
